1. Who we are

Findes ("we") operates a log and backup storage service at findes.download. For questions about this policy, contact support@findes.download.

2. Data we process

• Account data — name, work email, authentication events.
• Usage data — volumes stored and transferred, API call metadata, error rates.
• Customer content — logs and backups you send to the service. Content is encrypted at rest and is not accessed by staff except to resolve a support request you filed.

3. Purposes and bases

We process account and usage data to operate, secure and account for the service (performance of contract, legitimate interest); customer content is processed solely to store and return it on your instruction (performance of contract).

4. Retention

Account data is kept while your account is open and for 90 days after closure. Usage records are aggregated after 13 months. Customer content follows the retention policy of its project.

5. Subprocessors and location

Storage and processing take place in the European Union. We use a small number of subprocessors (hosting, payment processing, transactional email); the current list is available on request.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. Exercise them from the console or by email. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256-GCM with envelope keys). Access to production systems is limited, logged and reviewed. We run an ongoing vulnerability management program.

8. Changes

Material changes are announced at least 30 days in advance. The effective date above always reflects the current version.
